When the urge to control others, situations, or outcomes arises, take a step back and peer within. What aspect of your own life feels out of control? Is it an addiction, destructive behavior, or unbridled emotions?
Before attempting to dictate what others can or cannot do, ask yourself ‘why’ – repeatedly, until you uncover the root trigger. More often than not, you’ll discover that the issue lies not with others, but with yourself.
It’s essential to acknowledge the suffocating effects of control. It stifles growth, binds relationships, and impedes progress. By recognizing the source of our need for control, we can begin to release its grip and cultivate a more authentic, liberated existence.
