There’s a big difference between being selfish and being self-centered.
Being selfish is about wanting to take and keep. It’s a mindset of lack, a belief that if I don’t hold on tightly, there won’t be enough.
But being self-centered means something completely different. It means to return to your centre, to do the things that fill your cup and ground your energy so deeply that you can give to others from a place that is full, radiant, and overflowing. 🌿
I centre myself through my training, meditation, cooking and eating healthy food, spending quality time with loved ones, quiet reflection, massages, hiking in nature, and the simple stillness of presence. These are the ways I reconnect with my truth, my peace, my strength.
When I am centered, I give more freely. I love more deeply. I listen more clearly. I serve more fully.
So if you ever feel guilt for taking time for yourself, remember this, filling your own cup is not selfish. It’s sacred self-care. It’s how you ensure that what you give to the world comes from love, not depletion. 🌸
Be self-centered in the most beautiful way. Stand in your heart, and let your overflow become a blessing to all. 💚
