Over this very special retreat, we journey to the sacred lands of Mpumalanga, exploring some of the 100,000+ unique and mysterious Stone Circles that lie scattered across South Africa’s mountains.

Our journey includes a guided visit to Adam’s Calendar, also known as the African Stonehenge. About Adam’s Calendar & the Stone Circles

Adam’s Calendar is an ancient monolithic stone structure located in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is believed to have been used as a solar calendar, perfectly aligned with the cardinal points and the solstices. Dating methods and oral histories suggest it may be over 75,000 years old, making it one of the most ancient human-made sacred sites in existence.

The surrounding stone circles are part of a vast ancient civilization that may have once covered much of Southern Africa. Researchers suggest these formations could have been used for energy generation, healing, sound resonance, and astronomical tracking.
