Aesthetic Healing

Let’s be honest, sometimes we say we are “healing” when what we are actually doing is sitting there with a cup of chamomile, wrapped in a blanket, convincing ourselves we have achieved enlightenment because we lit one incense stick and avoided a small argument.

There is healing…
And then there is “aesthetic healing.”

Healing is crying, releasing, surrendering, having uncomfortable conversations, owning your patterns, doing the inner work and showing up even when you do not feel like it. Healing is messy. Healing is real. Healing is sometimes very unglamorous.

Aesthetic healing is drinking herbal tea and telling everyone “I am protecting my peace” while ignoring the 47 things we probably need to deal with.

And both are valid.
Both are part of the journey.
Both make us human.

Sometimes we are warriors.
Sometimes we are soft little emotional potatoes wrapped in a blanket.
Sometimes we are deep in our shadows.
Sometimes we are fully convinced we have ascended because we saged the lounge for 15 seconds.

Spirituality is a balance.
Healing is a dance.
And humour keeps us sane.

You are doing beautifully.
Even on the days you are “healing” with rooibos tea and vibes only.
