MY HEART ONLY KNOWS LOVE, MY EYES ONLY SEE ACTIONS OF LOVE.

I was so very fortunate to be brought up by open-minded, open-hearted, free-thinking parents who shielded me from much of the negativity that existed in the world around us. They raised us to see beyond judgment, beyond labels, beyond division, but rather to see people for who they truly are at a soul level. 💫

Our home was filled with colour, laughter, and diversity.
Black, white, Indian, Asian – everyone was welcome. Our dinner table was a place of stories, culture, music, and connection. We grew up surrounded by the most vibrant, fabulous, and loving gay community, and to us, that was simply normal. It was love in its most expressive and joyful form.

We were unaware, as children, of the injustices and laws that discriminated against both gay people and black people. We were too busy living in a world that felt united by spirit, kindness, and authenticity. For that, I am eternally grateful. 💛

My heart only knows love.
My eyes only see actions of love.

If your actions are pure, kind, and compassionate, I feel that energy and it draws me in.
If your actions come from anger, judgment, or harm, I simply move away.
It’s that simple.

I don’t see colour & I don’t see sexual orientation.
I see souls. I see energy. I see how people treat one another.

And that’s the only thing that truly matters to me. 💚

The world would be a completely different place if we all remembered that what unites us is far greater than what divides us. We are all human. We all bleed, laugh, love, and long for connection. When you choose to live from your heart, you begin to see the divine in everyone, and that is where real peace begins. 🌿
